Comprehensive packaging solutions engineered for free-flowing granular products. Whether you are packaging sugar, salt, black pepper, instant coffee, or dry yeast, our volumetric cup dosing systems provide exact weight accuracy with minimal product waste. Built for continuous high-speed operation, these lines ensure seamless transitions and maximized throughput for single-serve sticks and sachets.
Freeze-dried coffee granules are porous and fiercely hygroscopic — they drink moisture from the air within minutes. The open pore structure that makes the granule dissolve instantly in the cup also gives it an enormous internal surface, and on an open line that surface works against the producer: the granule takes up ambient humidity, softens, clumps and loses the clean dissolution the brand is sold on. It is brittle as well; every drop and every sharp turn in the product path breaks granules into fines, and those fines end up in the seal area, where they are a common cause of leaking packs. A freeze dried coffee packaging machine therefore has two jobs at once — keep the product dry from hopper to seal, and move it gently enough that the granule arrives whole. Dosing is volumetric. Free-flowing granules fall into a measuring cup consistently on their own, so dry-path volumetric dosing is the right method: no auger is needed to force the product down, and none is wanted, because auger shear is what turns granules into fines. The dosing zone is kept enclosed and dry, the product path short and the film high-barrier, with nitrogen flush an option for premium lines. Since volumetric dosing follows volume rather than weight, and bulk density shifts between batches and granulation grades, fill accuracy is confirmed by weight checks and the cup setting corrected from there. Format follows the market. Single-cup sticks are the main retail and HORECA form — one dose, no spoon, no air exposure until the cup is made — which is what hotels, vending operators and on-the-go brands ask for, and what a freeze dried coffee stick pack machine produces. Four-side-seal sachets serve sampling, promotion and markets where shipping rigid jars is expensive; that is the work of a freeze dried coffee sachet packaging machine. Larger sachets and jars-replacement pouches carry several servings for refill and export. Sticks and pouches both run at retail scale. The dose range is 1 to 3 g: a single cup at the lower end, multi-serve and refill formats at the upper end. Output is a lane question rather than a cycle question, because these are multi-lane machines and lane count is set by pack width. CSM1200 reaches up to 960 packs per minute with 12 narrow lanes, and the same machine gives 480 packs per minute at 6 lanes once the pack is wide. Freeze dried coffee filling machine options are ARTISTICK (1-5 lanes), CSM600 (3-7), CSM1200 (6-12), HSM (1-3), ISM400 (2-5), SPM320 (1-8), SPM800 (4-12) and SPM1200 (7-12). Typical buyers are instant coffee producers and co-packers running private label, exporters replacing jars with pouches to cut freight, and suppliers to HORECA, vending and hotel amenity programmes who need portion packs in volume.
