Hand Cream

Hand cream combines high viscosity with delicate fragrance and emulsion stability requirements. The thickness that gives the product its feel on skin also makes it slow through the dosing path and reluctant to break cleanly at the end of a shot, so it clings to the nozzle and pulls a thread into the area where the film must be sealed. The emulsion is the second constraint: pushed hard through pumps and narrow passages, a cream can shear, thin or separate, and volatile fragrance notes are the first thing lost when the product is handled more roughly than necessary. A smear on the sealing jaw or a droplet caught in the seal gives a pack that leaks or simply looks wrong, and in cosmetics appearance is part of the product. Gentle piston dosing avoids shear damage. The piston displaces a fixed volume on a slow, controlled stroke instead of forcing cream through restrictions, so the emulsion reaches the pack as it left the hopper and the same volume repeats shot after shot regardless of the level in the tank. A shut-off nozzle keeps seals clean and cosmetic: the valve closes at the end of the stroke and cuts the product column instead of letting it string down onto the sealing area. These two details decide whether a hand cream filling machine runs continuously or stops for cleaning every few hundred packs. Stick pack and sachet cover most of this category.
