Liquid detergent is a surfactant system: it foams under agitation and creeps into seals. Anything that shears the product — a pump that accelerates it too fast, a free fall from the nozzle into the open film, a return line that drops it back into the tank from a height — generates foam, and foam entering the sealing area is what turns a clean sachet into a leaking one. The same surfactants that make the formulation work also make it wet surfaces it should not wet: the liquid creeps along the inner face of the film, and if it reaches the seal jaw before the seal is made, the seal closes on a contaminated surface. This is the central problem when you look for a liquid detergent packaging machine, and it is a problem of dosing behaviour and film handling rather than raw speed. Dosing is done volumetrically with piston pumps feeding shut-off nozzles. The pump displaces a set volume per stroke, so repeatability comes from the geometry of the cylinder rather than from timing a flow, which is what a low-viscosity, foam-prone liquid requires. Bottom-up filling profiles keep the discharge point below the rising liquid level so the product is laid into the pouch instead of dropped into it, and drip-free shut-off nozzles close positively at the end of the stroke so no tail hangs at the nozzle tip to contaminate the seal area. Chemically resistant films handle the formulation, and the wetted parts of a liquid detergent filling machine — seals, gaskets, nozzle bodies, hoses — are selected against the surfactant and solvent content of your specific recipe. Three formats cover most of this segment. Stick packs suit single-dose household and travel presentations, where a narrow, rigid strip is easy to tear and squeeze out completely; a liquid detergent stick pack machine is typically the choice where a retailer wants a hanging strip or a multipack. Four-side-seal sachets give a wider seal band and a flatter pack, common in sample distribution, hotel amenity packs and promotional inserts. VFFS pillow bags cover larger portions and refill formats. Single-dose sachets reduce overdosing — an argument retailers increasingly use in the household segment. The practical dose range is 3-10 ml. Output is not a single number: these machines run several lanes side by side, and the lane count is set by pack width, so a narrow stick gives many lanes and a wide sachet gives fewer. MSM1200 reaches up to 960 packs per minute with 12 lanes in a narrow pack, and the same machine gives up to 480 packs per minute with 6 lanes in a wide pack. Lane ranges are ARTISTICK 1-5, HSM 1-3, ISM400 2-5, ISM600 3-7, MSM800 4-10, MSM1200 6-12, SPM320 1-8, SPM800 4-12 and SPM1200 7-12. Typical customers are household and personal care manufacturers, private-label fillers producing for retail chains, and contract packers serving hotel, promotional and sampling channels.
