Packaging Notes

BCAA powders are fine, light and often electrostatically charged, so they float and cling rather than flow. As a non-free-flowing powder the blend bridges over the hopper outlet, stays airborne after each shot and settles on the film exactly where the seal is made; a trace of powder trapped in the seal is enough to give a leaking pack. The blend is also low in bulk density and changes volume between its aerated and settled states, while the flavour and acid systems carried with it pick up moisture readily. Enclosed auger filling with dust control keeps the seal area and the production room clean, and high-barrier film protects flavour systems. That is why a BCAA powder filling machine is built around an auger doser rather than a volumetric cup. A servo-driven auger meters by rotation, so the dose can be trimmed in small steps and corrected from checkweigher feedback, whereas cup sets depend on a fill density this powder does not repeat. An agitator in the hopper breaks bridges and keeps the screw flooded, the dosing head stays closed, and extraction near the filling tube pulls airborne powder away from the film before the jaws close. Single-dose sticks matching one serving of the label claim drive this sports-nutrition format, so the project usually starts with a BCAA powder stick pack machine: the consumer empties one stick into a shaker and the serving is unambiguous. On the SPM1200 a narrow stick runs in 12 lanes for up to 840 packs per minute, while the same machine with a wider pack drops to 7 lanes and up to 490 packs per minute. Lane counts are 1 to 5 on ARTISTICK, 1 to 8 on SPM320, 4 to 12 on SPM800 and 7 to 12 on SPM1200. Dose weight and how the powder settles decide how much of that figure a line holds in practice.
