Advanced packaging technology designed specifically for non-free-flowing powders. Utilizing state-of-the-art servo-driven auger fillers, our machines deliver exceptional dosing accuracy for challenging products like powder coffee, milk powder, protein powder, baking powder, macrogol, and chemicals. Engineered with anti-dust architectures and independent agitation systems to prevent bridging and ensure perfect seal integrity.
Chili powder is aggressive in every sense: staining, aromatic, and an irritant as airborne dust. It belongs to the non-free-flowing powder group, and that is the first thing that shapes the machine. The ground product carries residual oil, so it packs down, bridges over openings and clings to whatever it touches instead of falling cleanly under gravity. The pigment behaves like a dye once it becomes fine dust: it drifts, settles on sealing jaws and film edges, and a seal closed over a dusted zone is a seal that can leak. On the operator side the same dust irritates eyes, skin and airways, so an open filling area is not acceptable in a line that runs all shift. Auger filling is the method that answers all of this. A driven screw meters the powder by revolutions rather than by free fall, so a product that bridges in a volumetric cup still leaves the hopper at a repeatable weight, and an agitator keeps the mass moving above the screw. Fully enclosed auger filling protects operators and keeps pigment off seal zones. A chili powder filling machine is therefore specified around dust containment as much as around dosing accuracy: closed hopper, closed dosing head, film path kept clear of the powder cloud. Format follows the portion. Stick pack is the dominant shape for single servings in food service and for kits where one stick is one dish; a chili powder stick pack machine runs many narrow lanes side by side, which is where the output comes from. Three or four side seal sachets take the same product where a wider, flatter portion is wanted: spice kits, retail sampling, meal kits, seasoning packs shipped alongside another product. In both cases aroma-barrier films lock in heat and colour, which is why a chili powder sachet packaging machine is normally quoted with a laminate rather than a single-layer film. The working dose band is 5 to 15 g per pack. Output depends on how many lanes fit across the film, and lane count is set by pack width, not by the machine alone. A CSM1200 runs up to 960 packs per minute with 12 lanes on a narrow pack; the same machine on a wide pack drops to 6 lanes and about 480 packs per minute. Lane ranges by model: ARTISTICK 1-5, CSM1200 6-12, CSM600 3-7, HSM 1-3, ISM400 2-5, SPM1200 7-12, SPM320 1-8, SPM800 4-12. Within the Mentpack range, the models configured as a chili powder packaging machine are ARTISTICK, CSM1200, CSM600, HSM, ISM400, SPM1200, SPM320 and SPM800. Typical buyers are spice millers, seasoning blenders, contract packers serving food service, and export packers filling portion sachets for spice kits. Portion sachets for food service and spice kits remain the volume application, with stick pack lines taking the single-serve share.
