Powder (Non-Free Flowing)

Face Powder

Advanced packaging technology designed specifically for non-free-flowing powders. Utilizing state-of-the-art servo-driven auger fillers, our machines deliver exceptional dosing accuracy for challenging products like powder coffee, milk powder, protein powder, baking powder, macrogol, and chemicals. Engineered with anti-dust architectures and independent agitation systems to prevent bridging and ensure perfect seal integrity.

Packaging Notes

Loose face powder is among the finest particles in packaging: it drifts as airborne dust and shows every speck on a dark sachet seal. It is non-free-flowing — cohesive, low in bulk density and easily aerated — so it bridges over a hopper outlet, holds a static charge and changes apparent volume with the air trapped in it. Pigment carry-over is the second constraint: a trace of a darker shade left in the dosing path shows in the next run, so cleaning and changeover weigh as much as dose accuracy. Dust that reaches the jaws contaminates the weld, and a marked seal is judged as harshly as the powder inside. A face powder filling machine is therefore built around an auger rather than a volumetric cup or a free-fall system. Cups assume a product that flows and settles the same way every time; this powder does neither. A servo-driven auger meters by rotation, and the slight compaction in the dosing tube makes each turn deliver a repeatable mass however aerated the hopper content is. An agitator breaks bridges over the outlet, and micro-dose augers with fine pitch cover small sample quantities. Filling is enclosed and kept under extraction, so airborne powder is drawn away from the film and the seal area. In stick pack format the powder becomes a single-use sample or travel dose: the narrow stick is easy to place in a gift box or an envelope and is emptied in one application, so no reclosure is needed. A face powder sachet packaging machine covers the flat sample sachet, whose wider face carries the print a brand needs at the beauty counter; these premium small-format sachets serve beauty sampling, where the pack is scrutinised like the product itself. VFFS pillow bags take larger quantities — refill packs, professional and salon supply, or intermediate quantities moving to a second filling operation. Dose window and output are confirmed per project rather than quoted from a list: the auger and tooling set the fill range, and the rate depends on pack size, film and the dwell the powder needs before sealing. On multi-lane stick pack and sachet machines the cycle rate is not the packs per minute — packs per minute is the cycle rate multiplied by the lane count, and the lane count follows pack width, so a narrow stick runs more lanes than a wide sachet on the same frame. On a single-web VFFS there is no lane multiplication: one cycle is one bag. Mentpack builds the auger-dosing stick pack and sachet machines this powder class needs — enclosed dosing, extraction at the filling station and quick-release contact parts for shade changeovers — and sizes the face powder packaging machine to your format and fill weight. Typical users are colour cosmetics manufacturers, their contract fillers, private-label producers running many shades on one line, and sampling houses supplying beauty counters; loose setting and translucent finishing powders sit in the same handling class.
