Advanced packaging technology designed specifically for non-free-flowing powders. Utilizing state-of-the-art servo-driven auger fillers, our machines deliver exceptional dosing accuracy for challenging products like powder coffee, milk powder, protein powder, baking powder, macrogol, and chemicals. Engineered with anti-dust architectures and independent agitation systems to prevent bridging and ensure perfect seal integrity.
A pre-workout is not one powder but a stack of actives, and every declared dose has to be present in every single stick: under-dosing breaks the law, over-dosing breaks trust. The blend itself is the difficulty. It is a non-free-flowing powder, fine, cohesive and notoriously hygroscopic. It bridges over the hopper outlet, rat-holes above the dosing screw, and takes up atmospheric moisture fast enough to cake on tooling within a shift. Static charge makes fine particles cling to the film and drift into the seal area, where a few milligrams leave a channel in a seal that looks closed. The actives also differ in particle size and density, so a blend that segregates on the way to the filler yields a correct batch average made of individually wrong sticks. This is why a pre-workout filling machine is built around auger dosing rather than volumetric cups. The auger meters by controlled turns of a servo-driven screw, so the dose follows rotation instead of a fixed volume, the right answer for a powder whose bulk density shifts with humidity, batch and hopper level. A cohesive blend needs help reaching the screw, so the hopper carries an agitator, and screw geometry is matched to the formulation. A checkweigher with feedback correction trims drift before it becomes an out-of-tolerance stick, and high-barrier film holds moisture out of the pack for the declared shelf life. The gym-bag single stick is the category's defining pack: one serving, no scoop, the label dose in the hand. A pre-workout stick pack machine therefore sits at the centre of most projects. A pre-workout sachet packaging machine covers the same serving in a wider, flatter format for samples, subscription boxes and launch trials, and accepts a larger fill than a narrow stick. VFFS pillow bags cover the multi-serving end: refill packs and bulk for repacking. Dose window and line output are set project by project. On a multi-lane stick pack or sachet line, packs per minute are machine cycles multiplied by the number of lanes, and the lane count follows pack width, since a narrow stick fits more lanes across the same film web than a wide sachet. Cycle rate and pack rate are never the same figure. On a VFFS line there is no lane multiplication: one cycle is one bag. Which pre-workout packaging machine fits is decided from a trial on your own blend. Mentpack configures multi-lane stick pack and sachet lines around auger dosing groups with hopper agitation, and VFFS lines for larger fills; lane count, auger group and film specification come out of that sample run. Typical customers are sports nutrition brands moving from tubs to single-serve, contract manufacturers running many private-label formulas on one line, and supplement blenders adding a stick to an existing range. Neighbouring powders such as amino acid, creatine and electrolyte blends run on the same platform with their own auger setups.
